The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A.) and the School Counseling (M.A.Ed.) graduate programs in the Department of Counselor Education are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) under the 2009 Standards, and approved by the International Registry of Counselor Education Programs (IRCEP), an international affiliate of CACREP.

All educator preparation programs in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of North Alabama are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP), www.caepnet.org. This accreditation covers both initial and advanced educator preparation programs.

However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, relicensure, or other purposes.

The baccalaureate degree program in Nursing, master's degree program in Nursing, post-graduate APRN certificate program in Nursing and the Doctor of Nursing Practice programs at the University of North Alabama are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care, CoARC program number 200649, located at the University of North Alabama holds Provisional Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (www.coarc.com).

The BFA program in Interior Architecture and Design is accredited by the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).

The Academic English Program is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA).

The Bachelor of Social Work and the Master's of Social Work degree programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) has accredited the following UNA degrees: B.A./B.S. in Art, BFA in Art (Ceramics, Digital Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture), B.F.A in Interior Architecture and Design, BSED in Art, and B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Apparel Design (Plan Approved).

The National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) has accredited the following UNA programs: Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Science in Music, and Bachelor of Music Performance.

The bachelor's program in Interior Design is accredited by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

The Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
